Norma (25/7-11 S) – Top hole

What happened:

The pH meter showed indications of cement in return (pH value of 11.6-12.3). Due to poor visibility on the seabed it was not possible to look for return with the ROV camera. When checking for cement around the conductor with stinger, cement was only find on 1/4 sides of conductor 23 m below seabed.

What was planned:

To identify cement in return with pH meter and observation of with ROV camera.

What was learned:

That there is some uncertainty in the pH meter readings.

What actions are required:

If uncertainties in height on cement around conductor, use ROV stick to stick in around conductor. If no cement found with the ROV stick, use a stinger and stab in close to the conductor to find the height of cement around conductor. Use the ROV to push the stinger as close to the conductor as possible.
